About wasanbon
Wasanbon sugar is a type of sugar traditionally produced in eastern Shikoku, and is made from a special variety of sugarcane called hosokibi, which grows in the mild climate and rich natural environment of the Seto Inland Sea. The dried sweets made from hardened wasanbon sugar are called wasanbon.
All wasanbon is made from hand-carved confectionery wooden molds and wasanbon sugar made by hand. It has a gentle sweetness and elegant flavor, and it is only wasanbon sugar that melts easily in the mouth. The wasanbon sugars that come out of the wooden confectionery molds that leave traces of hands spin their own tales.

On Teshima, a small island in the Seto Inland Sea, clear water springs abundantly from many places at the foot of the island. This spring water moistens the island and brings a rich harvest of lemons and other fruits to the island.
Since the time when abandoned farmland was cleared for tree planting, Teshima has been cultivating its lemon trees without the use of pesticides, herbicides, chemical fertilizers, or any other synthetic materials.
Each Teshima lemon is unique, both in appearance and taste. Some are large, some are small, some have smooth skins, some have bumpy skins, and all are a blessing of nature. The lemons grow slowly by the power of nature and are full of flavor.
Because they are pesticide-free, Teshima lemons can be eaten right down to the peel. In order to make the most of their charm, the juice is made into powder and the peel into peel, which is mixed into wasanbon (Japanese lemon paste).
The acidity of the juice and the flavor of the peel spread in the mouth at the same time. The wasanbon brings out the best of the ingredients. Please enjoy the crispy texture created by the combination of Sanuki wasanbon and Teshima lemon.
Namichidori," a combination of the words "chidori" and "wave," means to overcome both large and small waves together by comparing the waves to the world, and represents marital bliss and family safety. Chidori also has the meanings of "winning luck" and "achieving one's goal," both of which are well-known as auspicious patterns.
When the cover is removed, the box inside is made of richly textured paper so that it can be reused as a gift box. The wish that "small happiness will continue to circulate" will spread across the sea.
