After crafting each piece, we employ hand-painting techniques to achieve an aged, antique effect. We derived our name, "Yan Jiu Yuan" (meaning "Research Old Courtyard"), from the phonetic similarity to "research spirit," reflecting our aspiration to continuously maintain this spirit of inquiry. Yan Jiu Yuan Handmade Cultural Creation transforms raw wood into a diverse range of artistic and creative products. This endeavor requires the acquisition of numerous professional tools, such as circular saws, jigsaw machines, grinding machines, multi-angle cutting machines, electric planers, air compressors, and many other large-scale instruments. Additionally, smaller tools include routers, drills, orbital sanders, various professional saws, vises, needle-nose pliers, and more. Alongside these professional tools, we also need essential components like drill bits, a variety of straight, angled, bottom-cleaning, trimming, bevel, and hinge bits for different materials. Other auxiliary tools include various sizes of clamps, vernier calipers, rulers, protractors, and the like. After meticulously shaping the objects with the aforementioned tools, we apply hand-painted finishes to create a distinctive visual texture and tactile feel.
