The "Akabane coaster" utilizes the water-absorbing and diffusing properties of red roof tiles, a traditional Okinawan material, to absorb condensation. Inspired by this, KAVA created the "KAVA Aroma Stone," which functions as an "aroma diffuser" for essential oils. This product allows for direct management and storage of the diverse colors produced by Niigaki Tile Factory.
The round red tile coasters, produced by Niigaki Tile Factory, leverage the high water absorbency of red tiles to quickly soak up condensation from chilled glasses, making them highly practical. Due to differences in soil composition and lower firing temperatures compared to mainland Japan, producing high-quality grey tiles was initially challenging. This led the company to consider, "Perhaps red tiles could also be used." Initially, their products were sold exclusively as souvenirs, and only red tile coasters were produced. However, they now utilize different soils and offer tiles in various colors beyond red.
O Apply 2-3 drops of essential oil onto the aroma stone for a scent that lasts all day! Perfect for rooms, cars, restrooms, and more.
O The aroma stone can also be used with your favorite mosquito-repellent essential oils. Place it in a small sachet and hang it on bags or children's backpacks to help deter mosquitoes!
