Crafted from reddish earthenware, this mug embraces the rustic charm, warmth, and delightfully coarse texture characteristic of clay.
Shaped into a gently rounded mug, it is randomly embellished with a variety of stamped designs, including chrysanthemums and hydrangeas.
The glaze used is a lustrous white.
After applying a light blue glaze with a brushstroke technique around the rim, a touch of amber-colored glaze is added for a subtle accent.
The interplay of multiple glazes, melting and merging during firing, creates flowing, organic patterns.
Perfect for Japanese tea or coffee.
Also suitable for a small serving of soup.
And as a delightful vessel for puddings or jellies.
We hope you enjoy it with your favorite beverages and dishes.
All stages, from kneading the clay to shaping, bisque firing, glazing, and final firing, are meticulously handcrafted in my home studio, equipped with a small electric kiln and a potter's wheel.
The plump, rounded form, the slightly rough texture, and the satisfying weight convey the authentic feel of pottery.
While mass production is not possible, each piece possesses its own unique character, offering the charm that comes from handmade craftsmanship.
The item you receive will be the same as pictured.
To minimize any potential scratching to your table surfaces, the base has been carefully sanded.
Exploring various glazes and clays, I continually seek the best combinations to create pottery of diverse colors and forms.
Each piece is unique, a one-of-a-kind creation that cannot be replicated.
It would bring me great joy if you find a piece that speaks to you.
We hope you will find comfort and a touch of daily color in the heartwarming atmosphere woven by clay and glaze.

*Important Notes for Purchase and Use*
- Due to the porous nature of pottery, it may absorb liquids, which can sometimes lead to staining within the crackles or slight seepage of moisture.
To address this, all our pottery undergoes a waterproofing treatment using a food-safe sealant before shipping, eliminating the need for initial seasoning (me-kome).
This treatment requires 2-3 days, hence our shipping window is set at 5 days from order placement.
If you prefer not to have this treatment applied, please inform us at the time of purchase.
- Cutlery shown in the product images is not included.
- Product images are captured and edited to be as true to the actual item as possible. However, please note that colors may appear differently depending on your monitor settings and ambient lighting conditions.
- As this item is also sold on other platforms, in the event of overlapping purchases, priority will be given to the customer who completes the checkout process first. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.
- While you can use this item in the microwave (for gentle warming) and dishwasher, the vibrations from microwaves and the high-pressure jets of hot water can potentially accelerate wear. We recommend limiting their use whenever possible.
- Please refrain from using this item in ovens or over open flames.
- After use, to prevent stains and mold, please wash thoroughly, ensure it is completely dry, and then store it in your cupboard or designated area.
