We advise against using earthenware in electric steamers, microwave ovens, conventional ovens, or over direct flames. If the ceramic ware is intended for food consumption, thoroughly rinse and clean any surface dirt before the first use. For cleaning, use a sponge or soft scouring pad with a neutral dish soap.
