Uji matcha is made using only the first-grade matcha produced in Kyoto Prefecture and stone ground.
Grinding matcha with a millstone is a time-consuming and labor-intensive process, but it is only with the use of a millstone that you can enjoy matcha with all five senses: taste, aroma, color, and bubbles.
Unlike regular hojicha, stem hojicha is made by roasting the stems of the first tea leaves using a unique roasting method called "sand roasting".
Characteristically, it is sweeter than regular hojicha and has a unique aroma that brings out the flavor of the stems, making it especially popular among women.
It is delivered in Kyoto Kiyozumi's original high-class package.
