About Rosemary:
Rosemary is a shrub native to the Mediterranean region. Its pale blue flowers, nestled amidst silvery-green needle-like leaves, resemble blue dewdrops swirling in an jade dish. Rosemary is also known as "sea dew" for its distinctive, far-reaching fragrance. Legend has it that its strong, unique aroma often guided lost ships and helped seafarers find their way home, earning it the moniker "lighthouse of the sea." The Romans called rosemary "sacred herb," and indeed, it is a noble herbaceous plant. The ancient Greeks also regarded rosemary as a symbol of rebirth and a sacred plant. Shakespeare, in Hamlet, mentions: "There's rosemary, that's for remembrance; pray, love, remember." While this is dialogue from a play, it clearly illustrates rosemary's uses. Since ancient times in Egypt and Greece, rosemary, known for its mood-lifting and aromatic properties, was frequently used in religious ceremonies.
In Europe, rosemary was widely planted around churches, where it was considered a sacred offering by worshippers, thus earning it the name "Our Lady's Mantle." It was believed to ward off evil and bring blessings. Not only was it cultivated extensively around churches, but it was also a common Christmas decoration for doorways. During the Victorian era in England, the floral language of rosemary was "remembrance," making it an ideal gift for expressing longing between lovers. An old folk ballad tells of whispering your heartfelt thoughts to the wind-swept rosemary in a field full of flowers when you love or miss someone, and soon, the face of your beloved, the one you yearn for, will appear before you.
Rosemary is a renowned spice and one of the world's most popular aromatic plants. It can serve as a substitute for most herbs, particularly frankincense. Furthermore, rosemary's purifying and cleansing abilities are exceptionally outstanding, making it a powerful energy cleanser and one of the oldest incense herbs, a purifier of all things. The scent of rosemary can uplift the spirit, combat melancholy, balance tense emotions, and open the heart. It offers a soothing effect, cultivates a sense of calm, dispels negative energy in spaces, and stimulates and strengthens the body and mind. Rosemary can calm the nerves, refresh the mind, and clear thoughts. It can improve insomnia, alleviate emotional distress, enhance memory and concentration, boost vitality and intuition, making it ideal for students and office workers.
Rosemary is highly suitable for those experiencing mental discomfort, anxiety, vulnerability, difficulty concentrating, lack of motivation, low self-confidence or purpose, and challenges in self-care. It can help you relax your body and mind, reduce tension and stress, relieve fatigue, and ease a burdened mood. It can also help you break free from routine, step out of your comfort zone, and achieve self-transcendence.
Usage Locations:
No restrictions; suitable for any room or office.
For Space Purification:
Light the rosemary and hold it (or place it in an incense burner or censer). Move in a counter-clockwise direction around the space you wish to purify, whether it be a room, car, or any other area.
For Personal Purification:
Light the rosemary and hold it (or place it in an incense burner or censer). Move approximately 15cm away from your body, following the contour of your silhouette (aim for the smoke to envelop your body). This includes the top of your head, front, back, sides, and soles of your feet (lift your feet). When moving around the sides, keep your arms level and follow the contour.
Another Method:
Simply light it and let the smoke naturally fill the space for purification.
Storage:
Store in a dry place, or use desiccants, run a dehumidifier, or place it in the sun on a bright day.
