Takashi Matsumoto started his career as a guitarist as early as 1970, joining The Evil band at the age of 17. After the dissolution of Flied Egg in 1972, he joined Sadistic Mika Band formed by Kato Kazuhiko. Following the breakup of Sadistic Mika Band in 1975, he, along with remaining members Takahashi Yukihiko, Goto Tsugutoshi, and Imai Hiroyuki, formed Sadistics. The following year, in 1976, he released his first solo album, "Seychelles".
