Taiwan is home to as many as 27 species of the *Celastrina* butterfly family,
remnants from the Ice Age,
found only in the mist-laden forests of mid-to-high altitudes.
When at rest with wings closed, they reveal simple shades of gray and brown,
but when their wings are spread, the wing surfaces shimmer with brilliant metallic hues of green, blue, and pearl,
earning them the name "living jewels of the misty forests."
The *Celastrina argus* butterfly, also known as the Western Green-blue Sapphire,
exhibits distinct color differences between males and females.
This piece is inspired by the male butterfly,
with wings dusted with silver powder,
creating a shimmering, graceful effect with movement.
Crafted from elements of original hand-painted watercolors, these are handmade pieces.
The butterfly measures approximately 2*2cm.
You may choose to wear it on your left ear or right ear.
The metal is hypoallergenic medical steel.
The part that clips onto the ear features a round bead,
to reduce pressure on the ear.
Your purchase includes a complimentary original watercolor postcard (please refer to the 5th image).
Feel free to ask any questions. Thank you.
