Beyond the added charm and occasional mischief they brought, these companions inspired us to reflect on animal welfare issues, from abandonment and euthanasia to environmental conservation. Starting with the small creatures around us, our perspective broadened to encompass ecological balance and a sense of belonging within our living environments. Taiwan is home to many endemic species, found nowhere else in the world, yet some are now critically endangered... We employ various techniques in our creations, such as using animal silhouettes, simple line art, or selectively coloring parts of the wood to highlight its grain, presenting distinct aesthetics. This series also offers customization, allowing for a unique, personalized pet ring. We aim to bring our pieces closer to nature through the use of natural wood. Teak, in particular, develops a richer color and a beautiful sheen over time, as if alive, marking the passage of moments.
