The steel is cut by laser and formed into one piece. Then it is calcined and cooled. (The so-called cold treatment is to quickly freeze the steel at -75 degrees Celsius after forging. This allows the steel's crystal structure to be evenly distributed and stable, forming a sturdy knife.) Finally, the edges are polished by hand again and again to create a comfortable grip.
