Product Description

40213 French antique Longchamp porcelain plate 25cm Longchamp ceramics (not to be confused with the Longchamp brand famous for its leather goods) is actually a French ceramics manufacturer that was very active in the 19th and early 20th centuries. The Longchamp ceramics factory was located in the Dijon region of France and was founded in 1832. The company’s founder, Jean-Baptiste Gaspard, and his descendants continuously improved the production process, making Longchamp one of the most important ceramics manufacturers in France at that time. The Earthy yellow plate from the mid-20th century reflect Longchamp's design style, which is typically simple and elegant, using bright colors and a smooth glaze. Ochre is a classic glaze color, and the designs from this period tend towards modernism, emphasizing the combination of practicality and aesthetics. ❗️Please note: Antique objects have historical wear&tear of use regardless of color and surface.
