Japanese Craftsmanship Jili's jewelry is handcrafted using recycled materials and inspired by the idea of Japanese folk crafts and traditional culture. Production Process The necklace is made of the soft texture of the silk thread and accentuated by the fine shiny vintage Czech beads. The silk thread, the natural stones/pearls, and the glass beads are all made from materials that are less likely to cause metal allergies and are gentler on the skin. Sustainability All pieces are made from high-quality Japanese silk threads, which are unexpectedly leftover in the production process of woven fabrics such as Kimono. We heard that surplus silk thread is often thrown away, so we wondered if there was any way to avoid wasting precious thread spun from the cocoons made by the silkworms without leaving any short threads. We can rewind the thread and repair the base to make it last for a long time.
