WW2 Red Cross Bag
Inspired by the American Red Cross Apron Bag, this piece is a modern reinterpretation of the utility bags once derived from the aprons and uniforms worn by American Red Cross volunteers and nurses in the early 20th century.
During World War I and II, Red Cross volunteers and nurses donned their iconic aprons and workwear as they served on the front lines and in field hospitals. Their efforts extended beyond battlefield aid—they played vital roles in domestic healthcare, refugee relief, prisoner-of-war packages, and the distribution of medical supplies.
This "WW2 Red Cross Bag" is a collaborative release between Retrodandy and HouseTattoo. The main label draws inspiration from U.S. military-issued tags, and each flap is hand-stamped with the Retrodandy logo to evoke the tactile charm of vintage military gear. The inner pocket is lined with waterproof fabric, and tucked into one corner is a subtle printed illustration of a black panther, hand-drawn by HouseTattoo—an understated nod to the collaboration.
