Product Description

https://i.imgur.com/0KRz6Ph.jpg __Umbrella Sedge Series__ The vigorous umbrella sedge that takes only 4-6 months before it is ready to harvest, only grows in the crystal-clear water. It is the traditional woven material of coastal Pangcah, and the harmony between humanity and nature. In recent years, Sumi Dongi and her fellow had developed new possibilities from the traditional craft. They separated the skin of the stem from the inner fibers to make the new mats more delicate and avoid the mildew problems. By translating the traditional craft pieces into design products, Kamaro’an extends the aesthetics of the tribal art into urban lives, and deepen the local industry roots in the tribe. https://i.imgur.com/a7w7WoY.jpg https://i.imgur.com/mifyajY.jpg https://i.imgur.com/Qf3wI25.jpg https://i.imgur.com/8n9y3hn.jpg https://i.imgur.com/Yk96NRQ.jpg __Riyar Light (Big)__ By transforming the traditional umbrella sedge mats into the waves shape that highlights its straight and structural trait, this local craft lives in another artistic way in the modern city. Riyar means sea in the Pangcah language. https://i.imgur.com/wpN58xM.jpg https://i.imgur.com/J0hHyvf.jpg __Specification__ Dimensions: w56 X d56 X h58 (cm) Material: Umbrella Sedge, Powder Coated Steel, Brass Lamp Socket, Tungsten Bulb Bulb: 40w, 220v, e27 Cable Length: 2.5m Cable Color: black fabric Cleaning instruction: Simple wipe with a damp cloth, and placed in a cool, well-ventilated / dry place. As tribal youths starts to leave big cities and returns home, creative work based on the longstanding culture of Pangcah thrived and flourished. https://i.imgur.com/1Y6AcwO.png __Kamaro'an, the place to live.__ Kamaro’an is collaborated by the Makota’ay artists and young Taiwanese designers.
