→ About This Piece
This Tenmoku-style cup, inspired by traditional Chinese small round teacups, offers versatile use for enjoying tea, coffee, or a small pour of spirits.
Once the fundamental parameters are set by the ceramicist, the growth of the crystal formations in each piece is unpredictable, embodying a beauty bestowed by nature.
The dazzling crystal glaze is expertly handled by Master Yeh, who has dedicated decades to studying glazes. Achieving such exquisite crystal teacups requires a precise mastery of the interplay between fire, clay, and glaze, evident in every nuanced texture and the overall captivating atmosphere of the vessel.
Crystal glazes vary distinctively in color, appearing beautiful and novel. The crystal patterns can be large or small, and there are numerous ways to classify them, such as dot-like, chrysanthemum-shaped, radial, splash-like, star-shaped, needle-like, and feathery, among countless others.
Crystal-glazed vessels have historically been highly sought after by scholars and connoisseurs. In ancient times, due to numerous uncontrollable factors, potters throughout the ages could only meticulously labor, pouring their heart and soul into the effort, striving to fire a single perfect crystal-glazed piece. Today, with advancements in technology, many variables encountered during crystal firing have been brought under control. Nevertheless, this remains an exceptionally challenging and difficult type of work to master.
Beyond its aesthetic appeal, this piece is also designed for practicality. Master Yeh meticulously adjusts each creation based on years of experience, ensuring every vessel is both comfortable to hold and durable for everyday use.

* Most products in this design館 are purely handmade, and the glaze or ash deposits on each piece will vary. This is precisely the charm of ceramic art. Therefore, once a piece is sold out, it will not be restocked, and an identical item cannot be found. If you happen to love a piece that has already been purchased, we apologize, but you will need to choose another item from our design館. We appreciate your understanding! Alternatively, you may contact the designer to inquire about similar pieces.
* Dimensions are measured by hand and may have an error of within 0.5 cm.
* Traces of the crafting process may be present on the pieces, as they are handmade or semi-handmade.
* During the firing process, natural distribution of glaze and ash deposits may occur, which is entirely normal and inherent to the emphasis of natural glazes. Ceramics are inherently natural. If you have any questions about the product, please send us a private message.
* Product images are taken in a photo studio with adjusted lighting and environment, but without any post-production editing. Please refer to the actual product for color accuracy, as variations will not be considered defects.
