Red Oolong Tea is a very rare tea in Japan. It is a tea leaf born from the search for a new expression of Japanese tea, possessing a refreshing coolness combined with the richness of black tea.
Thanks to this tea leaf, which brings many flavors—such as floral aroma, roasted fragrance, and moderate astringency—all in one ingredient, a truly unique craft cola has been created. Take a sip, and you will certainly notice the lingering tea flavor that follows the gorgeous aroma and stimulating spice scents...◎
Drinking it in a thin-rimmed glass, such as a wine glass, allows you to enjoy the delicate flavor and aroma of the tea even more. Enjoy it with a meal, as a luxurious fizzy drink after a bath, or mixed with hot water for a rich, comforting time. It also makes a wonderful gift for a loved one.
**Japanese Traditional Culture × Japanese New Culture**
"Craft Cola" is a culture that has been gradually spreading in recent years. The idea behind it is not just a beverage, but an attitude of trying to create a "new everyday" rooted in daily life. We felt a strong resonance between this endeavor and our own desire to "deliver the culture of Japanese tea into modern life." This project began from that shared empathy: "Not just a drink, but a culture."
We couldn't have arrived at the idea of "making craft cola with Japanese tea" without Mr. Koibuchi of Craft Cola Hour. Mr. Koibuchi has loved craft cola since it was not as widely known as it is today, acting as an evangelist to communicate its appeal by sharing and serving it. Along with learning about craft cola, we discussed the culture present in contemporary Japanese life, held collaborative events combining tea and craft cola, and even visited Taiwan to share the new Japanese drink culture.

There are creators across Japan who are sharing local materials and cultures through the new context of craft cola. Mr. Koibuchi's diligent approach of carefully examining and conveying their activities deeply overlaps with what we have tried to convey through Japanese tea.
Every time we encounter such new culture, our desire to "further root Japanese tea in daily life" grows stronger each year. We realized that perhaps we could use the new context of craft cola to deliver Japanese tea in a way that is broader and easier to drink.
**The Ideal Drink Born from the Challenge of "Making Cola with Japanese Tea"**

In the process of searching for the ideal flavor, we discovered the craft cola made by TOBA TOBA COLA. They are a married couple who manufacture additive-free craft cola using an original recipe, incorporating generous amounts of local ingredients from Kikaijima Island in Kagoshima Prefecture. We deeply empathized not only with the deliciousness of their meticulously crafted cola but also with their sincere attitude toward the manufacturing process and the couple's straightforward mission to share the island's charm with the world. We felt that if we were going to make cola with Japanese tea, it had to be with TOBA TOBA! Led by this encounter, the craft cola production began.
We traveled to Kikaijima Island, their base, and together, while focusing on the ingredients and manufacturing, we created an uncompromising recipe that perfectly matched Japanese tea. The Japanese tea we use is "Red Oolong Tea from Shizuoka Prefecture," which was born from the search for a new expression of Japanese tea. We successfully added the subtle tea aroma, deep richness, the gorgeous fruit-like quality unique to Red Oolong Tea, and a clean lingering finish to the craft cola, resulting in a supremely delicious drink that is "both cola and Japanese tea," just as we envisioned.

We hope this step can contribute to the future culture nurtured by both Japanese tea and craft cola.
