P & F Ceramic Designs' creations are not about mass production. Each piece is born from a unique concept and design. The process of hand-pinching or wheel-throwing imbues each work with life, making every piece one-of-a-kind. Our works are created together as a couple, hence the signatures "Ping" or "Fan," and some pieces bear the "P & F Ceramic Designs" stamp. Truly unique!!

**1. What is the origin of the works?**
We primarily use American clay, Japanese clay, and Taiwanese Miaoli clay for our creations.

**2. What is the wood-firing process?**
American clay, Japanese clay, and Miaoli clay are mixed in different proportions. The creation process involves pure hand-pinching (not a potter's wheel) to slowly form the shape. After basic shaping, the body's lines are refined, and then polished to complete the greenware.
Once loaded into the kiln, the wood-firing process using natural longan and acacia wood lasts for five days and four nights continuously. The temperature reaches over 1200 degrees Celsius. During this time, natural ash deposits adhere to the works, forming a unique ash glaze. Simultaneously, the kiln's flames flow among the pieces, creating beautiful orange-red or blue-purple flame marks.
After five days and four nights of ash and flame interplay, a week of cooling is required before a piece can achieve its beautiful form! Because the kiln atmosphere differs with each wood-firing, the ash deposits and flame marks on each piece are never the same, making every creation unique!

**3. What should our esteemed guests be aware of?**
Product colors may vary slightly due to photographic lighting. As each piece is purely handmade, it will retain traces of the crafting process. Minor variations may also occur due to the firing process, such as slight imperfections in the rim or small production scratches; these are normal and do not affect usability. We appreciate your understanding!
