This tea bowl artwork is created by combining two colors of clay: white and blue-green.
It is then fired in a wood-fired kiln for four days and three nights, followed by seven days of cooling.
Finally, the magical natural ash deposit from the kiln completes the glaze.
Sip your tea and admire its beauty. Each side reveals a splendid sunset vista of mountain mist, offering endless scenery.
The bowl is wider at the top and narrower at the bottom, with a stamp at the base that reads "A Beautiful Day."
The Japanese clay used here has natural granules (silica particles, grayish-white) that create a richer texture after firing.
If you prefer a smoother feel, you can gently rub the surface with a household sponge scrubber for cleaning, which will slightly smooth out the granular texture.
(Using sandpaper is also an option, but I'm concerned you might over-abrasion and damage the surface.)

Notes
* We offer gift delivery services. If you require beautiful gift wrapping, please add the gift wrapping fee. If the invoice needs to be sent to a different address, please add the postage fee separately.
* This is not a mass-produced item made by pouring or molding. Therefore, it features precious, irregular, and organic handmade marks. Measurements may have a tolerance of ±0.5cm, which is within the normal range. We kindly ask for your understanding.
* Uneven surfaces, tiny bubbles, granules, variations in glaze thickness, and crackled textures on ceramic pieces are normal phenomena resulting from high-temperature firing in a wood-fired kiln. These are not flaws but rather contribute to its organic charm. Please refrain from purchasing if you do not appreciate these characteristics.
* Wood firing requires four days and three nights of tending the fire, followed by a week of silent cooling in the kiln. Firing is extremely time-consuming and labor-intensive, making wood-fired pieces precious.
* During the wood-firing process, the natural ash glaze's color and texture vary depending on its position in the kiln and other factors. Describing wood-fired pieces as "once in a lifetime" creations is very fitting. Each piece receives colors gifted by nature, and no two wood-fired works are exactly alike, possessing unique value.
* This item can be used like any regular cup. It cannot be heated over an open flame. You can rinse the surface with clean water and soak it in warm water for a few minutes before draining and air-drying in a ventilated area. It is microwave, oven, and electric cooker safe.
* The color of the product may differ from the actual item due to photography or screen display settings. I have tried to take multiple photos. Please do not purchase if this is a concern.
