- Live Naturally, Collect the Future -
We are Terry and Homi.
With our own hands, we craft everyday objects and furniture.
From design and production to packaging and shipping, we personally oversee every step, accompanying each wooden piece through its formation.
We prioritize the ingredients in our finishes and the origin of our wood, using timber sourced from sustainable forests or legal selective logging.
We are grateful for the beauty of forests and strive to treat the environment with care.
Our hope at Shi Wei is to return to creating within everyday life, maintaining a passion for exploring the things we love.

• Taiwania - Native Wood
A native species of Taiwan.
Scientific name: *Taiwania cryptomerioides* Hayata
Taiwania found its home in Taiwan during the Ice Age, making it a living fossil.
Its wood grain is characterized by vibrant colors and a subtle fragrance. It is also one of the tree species used in Taiwan's reforestation efforts.
As one of the tallest tree species in East Asia, the indigenous Rukai people call it the "tree that touches the moon."
A native species, it is currently one of the tree species used in Taiwan's reforestation efforts.
Through Photo 2, the "Taoshan Divine Tree" poster, one can glimpse the majestic stature of Taiwania.
Photo 3 shows a detail of the "Taoshan Divine Tree" poster.
The "Taoshan Divine Tree" poster is printed by the Environmental Information Association of Taiwan.
The poster is a life-size photograph, captured using a camera mounted on a climbing rope system. Each image is taken at a 1:1 scale and then assembled into a single photograph, ensuring the tree's form is not distorted or warped. It is then reproduced as a poster at the same scale. This project was a collaboration between the Australian team The Tree Project and Taiwanese partners.
