Through relaxed hands-on practice and professional guidance, you will go from understanding the basics of coffee beans to brewing your very first cup. Whether you want to develop your palate, explore new flavor profiles, or simply try your hand at pour-over coffee, this class is the perfect starting point. Course Content Coffee Bean Basics - What are coffee beans? Understanding different varieties and regional characteristics. - Exploring flavor differences: Washed, Natural, and Honey processed. - How roast levels influence aroma and body. Developing Your Palate - Experience and taste coffees with different processing methods, roast levels, and origins. - Learn to distinguish between acidity, sweetness, bitterness, aroma, and aftertaste. Pour-over Brewing Experience - Introduction to pour-over equipment and techniques. - Hands-on practice with pouring rhythm and the full brewing process. Course Duration: 90 minutes Locations: Shuo Coffee Songshan (Taipei Arena store) / Shilin (Shilin Tianmu store) / Da’an (No. 3, Lane 180, Rui’an St., Da’an Dist., Taipei City) Notes - If you are unable to attend due to unforeseen circumstances, please provide supporting documentation to request a rescheduling; a partial fee for materials and venue will be charged. - Class slots are limited; rescheduling or refunds are not accepted once registration is complete.
