The head circumference, pattern, and decorative band style can be discussed and made to your specifications. **Measuring Your Head Circumference** Whether you're choosing a hat for yourself or as a gift, selecting the right size is crucial. If you're unsure of your head circumference, here's how to measure it: Find a measuring tape or a non-elastic string/ribbon. Starting from above your eyebrows on your forehead, wrap it around your head following the natural line where a hat would sit. Don't pull too tightly; wrap it as comfortably as you'd like the hat to fit. Since Si Cyuan hats can be tightened by 2-3cm using the Velcro on the inner sweatband, measure for a comfortable or slightly loose fit. We use molds to ensure consistent dimensions and shape during production. For this hat, our mold sizes are 56cm, 58cm, and 60cm. If your head circumference is 57cm, please choose the 58cm size. **Patterns** This weaving technique has been used for hats and bags for a long time, adding variation and holding different meanings. In recent years, weavers have created new patterns. The openwork pattern in the photo is "Plum Blossom." We also offer "Diamond" and "Water Ripple" patterns. If no specific pattern is noted upon ordering, the weaver will create freely. **Decorative Band** The blue and mustard yellow decorative bands in the photo are made from cotton fabric. We also offer mustard yellow. In 1947, Grandpa Guo Xi-quan founded it with rush-woven products. During their time living in New Zealand, the third generation, interacting with the Māori people and local residents, was inspired by their pride in their culture and their passionate conversations. This experience sparked a different understanding of life and a reflection on their connection to their hometown and Taiwan. Upon returning to Taiwan, they returned to help with the family business and began learning to weave. In 2019, they named the shop after their grandfather and opened a store in Shennong Village, Taichung, continuing his passion for weaving. Taiwan has a rush weaving culture spanning nearly three hundred years.
