**◈ Designer's Notes**
Carefully selected from the most precious variety in the tourmaline family – **Watermelon Tourmaline** – for this design.
This pendant features intricate carvings of a **Tourmaline Leaf (symbolizing success and instant wealth), Ruyi (meaning "as desired"), Ancient Coin (representing peace and wealth attraction), and Gourd (signifying fortune, prosperity, and career success)**. The bracelet is adorned with **faceted water drop beads and irregular beads**, complemented by natural **pearls** for an elegant and unique look.
Both the bracelet and pendant showcase the distinct **watermelon (red + green)** hues of the tourmaline. Each gemstone is meticulously chosen for its bright colors, clarity, smooth texture, and dazzling fire, exuding a vibrant and prosperous aura. The overall piece is fashionable, radiant, exquisitely detailed, elegant, and carries auspicious meanings.
**This is a one-of-a-kind piece, awaiting its elegant, beautiful, wise, and fortunate owner. ^^**
**Tourmaline**
Tourmaline, also known as "Schorl" or "Rainbow Gemstone," possesses powerful energy. Its vibrant, ever-changing colors and high transparency have been cherished since ancient times.
Tourmaline displays a rich spectrum of colors, encompassing all seven hues, allowing its energy to resonate with the body's various chakras.
When selecting tourmaline, pay attention to its color and clarity. Most tourmalines exhibit pleochroism (co-existing colors), making pure single-colored specimens extremely rare.
**Ruyi**
The term "Ruyi" is easily understood as "as one wishes," signifying the fulfillment of desires.
The Ruyi scepter is typically shaped with a cloud or lingzhi mushroom motif at the top, connected to a long handle. Sometimes, only the lingzhi or cloud shape is used as a representation.
The Qing Dynasty text "Shi Wu Yi Ming Lu" records that "Ruyi was an ancient scratching tool," implying it was used for scratching one's back (similar to a modern back scratcher).
Furthermore, "Ruyi" also served as the "Hu" (or "Chao Hu," "Shou Ban") used by ancient officials to record matters during court audiences, and as a signaling device in warfare. Thus, Ruyi symbolizes wisdom, authority, and auspiciousness.
We often see deities holding Ruyi scepters:
"Guanyin of the Ruyi" holds a Ruyi, symbolizing her ability to perceive all, rescue from danger, avert misfortune, ensure all goes as desired, and bring peace of mind.
"Manjushri Bodhisattva," the Bodhisattva of wisdom, holds various implements, each with a different meaning: a sword signifies cutting through afflictions; a blue lotus symbolizes pure wisdom untainted by the world; and a Ruyi represents wisdom and auspiciousness. Therefore, Ruyi also signifies wisdom.
**Peace Buckle**
Since the Shang and Zhou dynasties, Chinese people have attached buttons to the clothes of newborns and young children, praying for their safe and healthy growth. Over time, buttons evolved into various materials but retained their meaning of wishing for peace, gradually becoming known as "Peace Buckles."
In terms of shape, the Peace Buckle has an inner and outer circle. The outer circle symbolizes the vastness of heaven and earth, while the inner circle represents the tranquility and peace of our inner selves, embodying the hope for safety and happiness.
Additionally, the Peace Buckle ornament resembles the shape of ancient coins, hence it is sometimes called an "Ancient Coin," and ancient coins are also sometimes referred to as Peace Buckles.
**Pearl**
The English word "Pearl" originates from the Latin "Pemnla," meaning "child of the sea." Throughout history, in both Eastern and Western cultures, pearls have symbolized health, purity, and nobility, and are the birthstone for June.
Pearls, amber, and coral are the three great organic gemstones of the world, with pearls being hailed as the king of organic gemstones.
Pearls are produced by mollusks like oysters and mussels. Their primary chemical component is calcium carbonate, and they have low hardness, dissolving in acids and alkalis. Therefore, pearls should not be in prolonged contact with coarse fabrics or hard objects, and should be kept away from cosmetics, perfumes, dyes, and any chemicals. They should also not be oiled.
Pearls boast magnificent and rich colors, with a delicate and soft luster, ranging from warm tones of yellow, gold, orange, pink, and creamy white, to cool tones of green, blue, indigo, purple, and gray.
Pearls can form naturally or be cultured. Currently, 99% of pearls on the market are cultured.
Natural pearls are primarily found in the Persian Gulf region and India, as well as freshwater pearls from Tennessee, USA.
Japan has the most mature technology for cultured pearls and produces the highest quality. Other regions include China, Tahiti, Australia, Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Myanmar in the South Seas.
Cultured pearls can be divided into four types:
1. Whole-nucleus culture - produces more spherical pearls. (Naturally formed perfectly round pearls are extremely rare.)
2. Keshi pearls - a bead nucleus is attached to the shell, allowing the pearl to grow around it.
3. Mabe pearls - originating from the Japanese pronunciation "Mabe Shinju," these are half-spherical, also known as "bun" or half-round pearls.
4. Nucleus-free culture - freshwater cultured pearls, used for grinding into pearl powder due to the absence of a nucleus.

**◈ On Usage and Collection**
1. Natural gemstones possess their inherent luster and unique textures (minor inclusions, internal patterns, slight cracks, cloudy areas, mineral flaws, asymmetry, etc.). With frequent wear, you may observe subtle color changes in natural gemstones, often becoming more translucent and captivating – this is the best form of care.
Natural organic gemstones (such as coral, amber, pearls, and giant clam) have low hardness and are sensitive to acids and alkalis. When soiled, avoid using detergents. Simply rinse with clean water and wipe with a soft cloth. You can also use a soft brush dipped in a small amount of mineral oil (like baby oil) for gentle care.
2. Metal jewelry has a long lifespan. Avoid external force damage or strong acids and alkalis that can cause fading.
3. Fabric components (ribbons, cotton, gauze) are soft and comfortable to the touch and have a long lifespan. Avoid high temperatures, external force damage, or strong acids and alkalis that can cause fading.
4. For jewelry of any material, when soiled, wipe with a soft cloth dampened with water as appropriate, or use a moderate amount of neutral detergent for suitable materials. After washing, ensure it is dried promptly.
5. When jewelry is removed, store it properly, sealed from excess air to slow down oxidation and discoloration. Avoid stacking or placing heavy objects on it.
