Taiwan is home to 27 species of the *Aporia* genus, remnants of the Ice Age. These butterflies inhabit only the misty forests of mid-to-high altitudes. When at rest with wings closed, they reveal simple shades of gray and brown. However, upon unfurling their wings, a brilliant, dazzling metallic sheen of green, blue, and pearl emerges, earning them the moniker "living jewels of the misty forest."
The *Aporia agathon* butterfly, also known as the Lesser White Arches, exhibits distinct color differences between males and females. This piece features the male, whose wings are dusted with silver powder, creating a shimmering, graceful flutter at the hairline with every movement.
The bow measures approximately 9.5cm in length and 5cm in width.
This piece is handcrafted, drawing inspiration from original hand-painted watercolors.
A complimentary postcard featuring the original watercolor artwork will be included with your purchase (please refer to the 4th image).
Please feel free to inquire if you have any questions. Thank you.
