When it comes to monograms, LV is undoubtedly the most widely recognized. However, CELINE's monogram actually predates LV's! In the fashion world, who came first isn't really that important. Look at how LV, despite debuting later, has dominated the monogram scene for so many years without faltering. Although CELINE's monogram is considered a senior in the game, it's only in recent years, with the re-release of vintage-inspired designs, that it has gained widespread recognition... Ultimately, every brand has its own monogram pattern; it's essentially their signature logo. It all comes down to which monogram you prefer. CELINE's monogram dates back to the 1870s. It was later discontinued for a long period, and only recently, with the arrival of a new creative director, has it been reissued. The monogram pattern on the reissued new designs has been enlarged, but the edges are noticeably blurred (perhaps by design!?). With the vintage monogram, you wouldn't see such blurred edges even under a magnifying glass. Of course, this is also due to the different eras and design demands. In recent years, the design of patterns across brands has leaned towards larger and larger scales, emphasizing prominence. It's either a big LOGO or a big brand name. Regardless, I personally prefer the fine, intricate arrangement and delicate patterns of the older designs (and smaller patterns are easier to style with outfits). Another special point about the vintage monogram is its excellent water-resistant performance! The monogram leather has a coating that offers light protection against splashes and stains. For light rain (heavy downpours are another story... stay indoors during storms and don't take your bag out!) or accidental water splashes in daily life, a gentle wipe with a paper towel or cloth is usually sufficient! So, if I need to go out on a rainy day, I'll casually grab a monogram bag and go. You don't have to worry too much about being rough with the monogram leather (though extreme force is still not advised)! For everyday use or for those who tend to be a bit rougher, monogram bags are a great choice because they are truly convenient. They pair effortlessly with a simple T-shirt and jeans. I've sold this same beige monogram style before, and now I finally have the brown monogram! It comes with the original CELINE dust bag. I personally love this style; the mini "tofu bag" silhouette is incredibly cute when worn. This particular style is rare in any color. The entire bag has no obvious major flaws. The front and back are completely free of scratches, scuffs, or cracks. The entire monogram coating is intact. The front and back of the bag show no obvious scratches, scuffs, or stains. The monogram coating is in good condition. The leather trim is a honey brown, showing minimal signs of wear but with an even color. The bottom, edges, and corners have no significant wear, peeling, or tearing. Even the leather at the very tips of the corners is intact! The interior leather lining is not sticky or aged, nor does it have ink stains. It has been cleaned once. While some marks may remain, there are definitely no ink stains, so you don't have to worry about color transfer when placing items inside. The leather tag is complete. There is a small zippered compartment with a smooth zipper. The strap is original, with a natural, light honey brown color that is even. The strap shows normal signs of wear, with some indentations but is completely intact without peeling or significant wear. The stitching is firm and has no loose threads. It is adjustable (holes can be added upon request). The hardware adjuster shows signs of use but remains a vibrant gold. The most notable feature, the horseshoe clasp, is exceptionally golden with no obvious scratches. The CELINE engraving on the clasp is clear and shows no wear. Overall, the bag is in excellent condition with normal, light signs of use. Apart from the interior ink marks, there are no significant flaws that would affect its use. This small "tofu" style is highly recommended for petite individuals; it's incredibly cute when worn. I believe as we grow older, we all understand one thing: simplicity endures! The quality of materials in older items is also superior to new ones. Anyone who understands✦ leather can see it. Most new materials are of lower quality than older ones. This is mainly because the cost of high-grade raw materials is too high and their supply is limited today. Additionally, many brands had very high standards for their finished products back then. The difference between new and old can be most easily seen in the✦ hardware. Hardware on many new items oxidizes and changes color after just one or two years of use, but this rarely happens with older items. Besides the use of premium materials and meticulous techniques, hardware from earlier eras was often plated with real K gold! Therefore, even vintage bags produced as far back as the 60s and 70s still have gleaming hardware today! Among the brands I know, none of the new items available today use K gold for their hardware. Many people say that vintage bags are a form of alternative investment; they rarely depreciate and often appreciate in value. This is based on personal experience; I regret not getting into certain series earlier... they are now impossible to find, or if found, are prohibitively expensive... Apply a small amount to genuine leather for cleaning and to add moisture. You don't need to apply it after every use; just periodically.
