Enamel Originating in Europe, enamel craftsmanship flourished in China during the late Yuan and early Ming dynasties. Enamel is a glassy glaze applied to metal surfaces and fused through kiln firing. This technique imbues simple metal objects with vibrant and brilliant colors.
