Consequently, their circulation is limited, and prices are not always low. However, considering the quality, they are far more sensible than modern pieces. Vintage accessories were often handcrafted, with subtle variations in each detail, imbuing them with an ineffable handmade warmth. Most CELINE vintage accessories are gold-plated in Italy, with a very thick plating layer from that era. Even after all this time, they rarely show signs of discoloration or oxidation, unless they have been used extensively to the point where the plating has worn off. As I've encountered more of them, I've discovered that CELINE vintage accessories are truly on par with top-tier brands, and their price point is comparatively more accessible. I have kept one of these long necklaces for myself! The small Triomphe is very versatile. Long necklaces look fantastic layered over sweaters in autumn and winter. In summer, they can be doubled up for a chic, delicate layered look. Beyond being a necklace, it can also be worn as a waist chain, and there's a clever hidden use: it can even function as a bag chain! Upon closer inspection, you'll notice the necklace's connecting points are expertly soldered. Vintage craftsmanship is excellent, even the clasp connections are specially finished. This allows it to be used as a bag chain and it looks incredibly stylish. I've already attached two of my own necklaces to bags as chains. The length is suitable for a shoulder bag worn under the arm. However, careful consideration is needed when choosing a bag, as the necklace's design wasn't intended to bear weight. Therefore, it should only be paired with very lightweight small bags, "baguette" style bags, or bags that aren't heavily loaded. It cannot carry significant weight, as it is, after all, a necklace. . . ⚐⚑˒˒ This CELINE chunky Triomphe long chain is a vintage piece from the 90s, featuring a small-sized Triomphe – not an ostentatious design! A similar style was quickly snapped up by a lovely customer previously. Fortunately, I was able to source another of the same style, and this one is an extra-long version! I've previously seen them around 80cm, but this one is 100cm! The length allows it to be used as a waist chain, offering an additional styling option! The base is brass with full K gold plating (vintage plating techniques resulted in thicker layers than modern ones!). You can see signs of wear on the edges upon close inspection, but there is no significant oxidation or loss of gold. The color remains a rich, golden hue. The design features a chain connected by the Triomphe clasp. The engraving on the Triomphe ring is very clear, and the clasp is marked "made in italy." The clasp design is a secure fit, so there's no need to worry about it falling off. Overall, the condition is excellent. If you understand leather, you'll see that the materials used in new items are often of a lower grade than vintage ones. This is mainly because the cost of high-quality raw materials is too high today, and their availability is less than in the past. Earth's resources are dwindling! Furthermore, brands back then didn't have the ubiquitous presence they do now, with stores everywhere. Their clientele typically had a certain level of income and high expectations for the finished product. There wasn't the "fast fashion" culture of today; a bag was expected to be used for many years.
