About the Ware •Each piece is handcrafted, making every item unique due to variations in clay, glaze, firing temperature, and methods. •The firing process for ceramics involves many variables. Slight deformation around the rim due to firing is normal. •Glazes are applied by hand, resulting in variations in thickness that create unique effects for each piece. •Occasional small pinholes, air bubbles, or particles on the glaze surface are not considered defects and cannot be returned or exchanged. •If the glaze features a crackle effect, fine cracks will appear. Staining may occur when serving foods with dark colors, which is also a characteristic of the glaze's appearance. ⸻ About Crackles •Also known as "crazing" or "ice crackle," this occurs due to the different shrinkage rates of the ceramic body and glaze. The cracks are only in the glaze layer; the body itself is flawless. •Some cracks may appear within a week after firing, while others may take years to manifest.
