No more seat-hunting woes!? SeKeep! Key Chain. One surprisingly tough challenge when traveling solo abroad is grabbing a seat at food courts. 'Just a tissue isn't enough to show you're claiming it!?' At Singapore's hawker centers (food courts), there's a culture of reserving seats called ‘CHOPE!’. Just like in Japan, leaving something like a tissue or hat on a hawker table signals you're holding the seat. So, I placed a used tissue on the table and stepped away to pick up my finished meal... but when I returned, a Westerner was sitting there. LOL That's right... many foreigners visiting don't know about the ‘CHOPE’ culture. In Japanese food courts, you return your plates to the designated area after eating. However, in some countries, cleaners handle the cleanup, so I've had pocket tissues mistaken for trash and thrown away several times in the past. I wished someone could watch my stuff for a moment... Is there a better way...? That's when I came up with this seat-saving keychain.
