Today, I'd like to share this special "flat teapot" with you 🙂
Its flat shape is very stable and serene, becoming more captivating the longer you look. The natural colors left by the wood-firing process make each part unique.
Brewing tea with it feels like time itself slows down. Sometimes, a good teapot is the best companion for everyday life.
👉 I'd love to ask, if this teapot were in your home, what tea would you want to brew first?
Capacity: 200cc
The spout pours and stops cleanly, without haste or rush, offering a comfortable, flowing sensation when pouring tea. This is a teapot that can accompany you through life.

The beauty of life begins with a beautiful teapot.

The works from P & F Ceramic Designs do not pursue mass production. Each creation possesses a unique concept and design, imbuing the process of pure hand-pinching or wheel-throwing with life. Every piece is one-of-a-kind. Our works are created together by us as a couple, hence the signatures "Ping" or "Fan," and some pieces bear the "P & F Ceramic Designs" kiln stamp. Truly unique!!

**1. What is the origin of the work?**
We primarily use American clay, Japanese clay, and Miaoli clay from Taiwan for our creations.

**2. What is the wood-firing process?**
American clay, Japanese clay, and Miaoli clay are mixed in different proportions. The creation process involves pure hand-pinching (no pottery wheel) to slowly form the shape. After basic shaping, the lines of the body are refined, then polished to complete the greenware.
Once placed in the kiln, it undergoes a continuous five-day, four-night wood-firing process using natural longan and acacia wood. The temperature reaches over 1200 degrees Celsius. During this time, natural ash deposits adhere to the work, forming a unique ash glaze; simultaneously, the kiln's flame patterns flow among the pieces, creating beautiful orange-red or blue-purple fire marks.
After five days and four nights of ash and flame interplay, a week of cooling is required before a piece achieves its beautiful form! Because the kiln atmosphere differs with each wood-firing, the ash deposits and flame patterns on each piece are never the same, making every work truly unique!

**3. What should our esteemed guests be aware of?**
Product colors may vary slightly due to photographic lighting. As works are purely handmade, they will inevitably bear the marks of the crafting process. Minor variations may also occur due to the firing process; slight imperfections in the rim or minor scratches from creation are normal and do not affect usability. We appreciate your understanding!
