This shabon glass is fully decorated with a wisteria motif. Inspired by a wisteria trellis, two tiers of wisteria clusters have been carved to envelop the glass. The appearance of the wisteria subtly changes depending on the drink poured inside, creating an elegant atmosphere as if watching a wisteria trellis sway in the breeze. A traditional wisteria crest (mon) is also engraved on the base. Wisteria has long been cherished in Japan and frequently appears in Heian-period poetry.
