On the spider, the structures are from the large industrial naptha plant that dominates the landscape in that area. On the dragonfly, central Taiwan towns such as Mailiao. The focus on this particular drawing was air pollution, which was a prominent part of a couple of visits to this area. The colors are inspired by the reds and purples that the air quality apps display on especially bad days.
