Two Mounting Options Included Choose between the adhesive dashboard base and air vent clip, depending on your vehicle’s layout and suitable installation points. INSTALLATION Dashboard Base Choose a flat surface suitable for adhesive mounting, with enough space for the entire adhesive pad to make contact. Clean and dry the surface, confirm the position, then press firmly. Allow the adhesive to set for 24 hours before use. The 3M adhesive is not reusable. If you reposition the base, replace the adhesive pad. Air Vent Base Check that the vent slats’ shape, thickness and structure are suitable for the clip. Secure the base according to the installation instructions. With your phone attached, check that the mount does not loosen and the vent slat does not noticeably sag. Metal Ring Follow the installation guide to attach the ring to the back of your phone. If you prefer not to stick it directly to your phone, you can position it centrally between your phone and a compatible case. Make sure the ring cannot slide and the case closes properly. Before first use, support your phone with your hand and check that it is securely attached before letting go. This Universal version requires the included metal ring, whether or not your phone supports MagSafe or wireless charging. Q: What kind of phone case works best? A: We recommend a case thinner than 2.5 mm. Thinner cases generally provide a stronger magnetic connection, but performance also depends on the material, surface condition and ring placement. Not every case will provide the same holding strength. Q: Will the included bases fit every vehicle? A: Not necessarily. The dashboard base needs a suitable surface with sufficient adhesive contact, while the air vent clip requires compatible vent slats. A: When attached using its adhesive, the 3M adhesive layer—not the metal itself—contacts your phone.
