It retains the inherent qualities of the material without excessive modification or processing, free from chemical additives and pollution, offering a natural, pure, and fresh essence. • Common characteristics include insect marks, growth lines, brands, and scars (holes). Scars (holes) are typically avoided in our use. • Natural cowhide exhibits wrinkles and growth lines due to different parts of the hide. During growth, cows may encounter friction with other cattle or insect bites. Scars and insect marks are natural occurrences. • These are unavoidable aspects of vegetable-tanned leather products and contribute to their natural, unpretentious charm. • We hope you will understand these material characteristics before purchasing and appreciate the captivating allure of unadorned vegetable-tanned leather, with its natural marks and color variations. ♥ Care and Maintenance • Crafted from cowhide, the leather's pores absorb oils and moisture from our hands. Over time and with use, its color will deepen and develop a lustrous sheen. • Use a clean brush to remove dirt and dust from the surface and crevices. Then, apply a leather conditioner evenly for maintenance (avoid conditioning in humid weather).
