**Guadalupe Caracara**
The Guadalupe Caracara was an extinct bird of prey, closely related to the caracara found in South America.
Before the early 20th century, the Guadalupe Caracara primarily inhabited Mexico's Guadalupe Island. Due to its frequent raids on livestock such as sheep, it was branded "the devil" by shepherds and systematically eradicated, leading to the species' complete extinction in 1906.
