We love and appreciate the unique properties of natural fibers, as recycled resources hold special meaning for us. We primarily use hemp fiber and bark fiber from the Himalayas, and wool from New Zealand. The dyes are derived from the natural beauty bestowed by the earth, using minerals and plant extracts from roots, bark, nuts, leaves, and flowers. An Opportunity for Cross-border Collaboration: Nepal has a long history of craftsmanship, and travelers highly praise the local arts, crafts, and the skills of its artisans. However, traditional crafts are being widely forgotten as they don't align with modern economic models. Therefore, we collaborate with artisans in Nepal, supporting local communities and encouraging traditional craft techniques by offering fair wages. We combine local and international efforts under the principles of fair trade to realize Perch's design philosophy.
