Designed for medium to large pets, this ceramic bowl is compatible with the Dawei bowl stand and King Kong bowl stand. Capacity: 2 cups of dry food (based on a 240ml measuring cup) or 755ml of water. The bowl measures 16 cm in width and 6 cm in depth. The supplier refers to this as reinforced porcelain, meaning it is fired at high temperatures of approximately 1300 degrees. The body is nearly non-porous, with a water absorption rate of less than 0.2%, which is key to its functionality. Low-temperature fired ceramics contain microscopic pores that absorb water; when microwaved, the trapped water heats up, causing the bowl to become hot. In a dishwasher, high-heat drying causes the water inside these pores to expand, which can lead to cracks in the glaze. This high-temperature porcelain lacks these pores, ensuring that food heats up without the bowl getting hot, and it will not damage the glaze in the dishwasher. Ceramic bowls may not be perfectly circular during the firing process. The bowl openings on the stands are designed to be slightly larger—by no more than 5 mm—to accommodate any variations in the bowl's diameter. Before shipment, the designer inspects each bowl by fitting it onto the stand.
