Kyo-yaki / Kiyomizu-yaki "Akasada-gumo Fuchi-hanamontsu" Kintsugi Earrings
These are one-of-a-kind earrings from engrace's special Premium Series.
These Kintsugi jewelry pieces, born from the renowned Kyo-yaki and Kiyomizu-yaki pottery of Nishikawa Sadazaburo Shoten, a long-established Kyoto atelier, feature striking, vibrant colors.
Originally, these were crafted as lids for the "Akasada-gumo Fuchi-hanamontsu" tetsubin kyusu (iron teapot).
The gold accents, blue highlights, and delicately depicted floral patterns are exquisitely beautiful. Within these small ceramic fragments, the artisan craftsmanship and rich colors unique to Kyo-yaki truly come alive.
We have carefully mended these beautiful shards with Kintsugi and paired them with soft, lustrous freshwater pearls.
They exude an elegant charm amidst their vibrancy, adding a touch of feminine grace to your ears.
Perfect for everyday wear, these are also recommended for special occasions or when dressing in traditional Japanese attire, offering a truly unique piece.
// Nishikawa Sadazaburo Shoten × engrace Premium Series //
Founded in 1917.
Nishikawa Sadazaburo Shoten, a leading Kyoto atelier, has been delivering Kyo-yaki and Kiyomizu-yaki pottery both domestically and internationally for over 100 years, even exhibiting at the 1958 Brussels World Expo.
For this collaboration, we were specially granted precious ceramic fragments that, for various reasons such as cracks or chips, were not suitable for sale during their long history.
Rather than simply reusing them, we aim to imbue them with new value as wearable jewelry for contemporary living, celebrating the Kyoto pottery culture and the artisans' techniques passed down through generations.
Each piece is meticulously handcrafted with great care.

UV resin is used on the reverse side for added durability.
