Originally, these were crafted as lids for the "Akasada-gumo Fuchi-hanamontsu" tetsubin kyusu (iron teapot). The gold accents, blue highlights, and delicately depicted floral patterns are exquisitely beautiful. Within these small ceramic fragments, the artisan craftsmanship and rich colors unique to Kyo-yaki truly come alive. We have carefully mended these beautiful shards with Kintsugi and paired them with soft, lustrous freshwater pearls. For this collaboration, we were specially granted precious ceramic fragments that, for various reasons such as cracks or chips, were not suitable for sale during their long history.
