Brass Care Instructions: Brass has always been a popular material for jewelry due to its affordability and resistance to fading. However, like silver, brass can oxidize, and exposure to rain, sweat, and air can deepen its color. While some appreciate this natural patina, here are some tips to maintain its original luster: ♦ Avoid contact with water. ♦ Store in a resealable pouch when not being worn. If the luster diminishes, here are a few simple methods to restore your jewelry's shine. Please note that while color can be restored if worn down, the original shine cannot be fully recovered (the matte, antique bronze look is also beautiful!). ♦ Use a toothbrush with a small amount of foaming toothpaste or tooth powder to gently scrub the brass, similar to brushing your teeth. This can restore its luster. Ensure to dry thoroughly afterward. ♦ Use a silver polishing cloth for a quick shine (not suitable for brushed finishes). ♦ Dilute lemon juice and soak the brass jewelry for about 5 minutes to quickly restore its shine (not suitable for natural stones like pearls that are sensitive to acid).
