A stunning Art Nouveau lady brooch, acquired from France. Characterized by its classic depiction of a lady, gracefully flowing lines, and a harmonious blend of botanical and floral motifs. Crafted from silver, though its exact purity is undetermined. It was initially quite dark and became noticeably brighter after a gentle polish with a jewelry cloth. The piece is substantial and in very good condition. It features a vintage clasp on the reverse. Dimensions: 3 x 2.5 cm. Additionally, I'd like to share a detail about the safety clasp on the back. This type of clasp is known as a Trombone Clasp, also referred to as a Push-pull safety clasp. It's a design commonly found in French and European jewelry, widely used around the 1940s, and even featured in vintage Chanel pieces! Take a look at your own brooches – do any have this mechanism?
