The depth of color found along the avenue is expressed through a pointillist technique, layering different shades of yellow glass. On the right side of the leaf, you'll find stones in transparent yellow stripes, "Givre glass" stones with yellow encapsulated within clear glass, topaz-colored stones with embossed surfaces, and "Sabrina glass" stones with yellow encased in white opal. The white opal on the upper left was chosen for its ability to shine yellow when light strikes it. The soft blue that emerges as the angle of light changes represents the sky seen beyond the yellow. Since gingko leaves are rarely bothered by insects, they don't develop characteristic holes. Perhaps this pattern represents the shadow of another gingko leaf falling from above, or maybe the imprint left by someone stepping on fallen leaves...
