【Ossuary Chronicle】Ulna Bangle
Presenting a brand-new bangle design inspired by the form of the ulna bone.
We aimed to capture the intricate, branching structure of bones,
merging elements from the ribs, tibias, femurs, and humeri of cats and birds.
This piece is a chimera of skeletal artistry!
The ulna is the longer bone on the medial side of the forearm, running parallel to the radius. It plays a crucial role in providing stability.
Its proximal end, the olecranon, forms the elbow joint with the humerus, enabling flexion and extension of the arm.
The distal end, the head of the ulna, connects with the radius and carpal bones, influencing wrist dexterity. Its primary function is to stabilize the forearm while also participating in certain rotational movements.
