⚠️ Fertilizing and Watering Schedule:
Plants are fertilized before shipment, with a slow-release fertilizer applied every 3 months. Water only when the soil is dry (you can lift the pot to feel its weight; if it feels lighter, or if your finger inserted into the soil comes out dry, it's time to water). Water thoroughly until water drains from the bottom. Since pot sizes and environments vary, the primary indicator is dry soil. Overwatering indoors, where sunlight is limited and evaporation is slow, can lead to root rot. When the air is dry, misting the leaves can help maintain the plant's preferred humid environment ❤️
💧 Watering Method:
Take the entire potted plant to a sink or bathroom and water thoroughly with a showerhead, allowing the soil to soak completely. After a few hours, once the pot no longer drips water from the bottom, move it back to its original location.
🌸 Simple Key Concepts:
1. Don't be afraid to prune! Yellow or diseased leaves should be removed promptly. Timely fertilization is essential!
2. Most foliage plants are tropical rainforest species; they prefer humidity in the air, not necessarily in the soil. They don't need daily watering but benefit from frequent misting of the leaves and surrounding environment to increase air humidity. For foliage plants, dry soil is far less detrimental than dry air.
3. Plants certainly need some sunlight for photosynthesis. Consider moving your plants to a semi-shaded balcony or outdoor area for a sunbath on weekends 🌞
