Usage and Care Before use, first wet the bamboo steamer with water and wipe off any excess moisture. ※ If a natural bamboo steamer is heated while completely dry, it may scorch or burn. When using, add water to the enamel pot and bring it to a boil before placing the steamer filled with ingredients on top to heat. ※ If cooking over an open flame, for safety, it is recommended to turn off the heat before placing the steamer on the pot. ※ To prevent food from sticking and vegetable pigments from staining the steamer, place the included silicone steaming mat underneath, or replace it with baking paper or vegetable leaves. ※ If you are concerned about the natural bamboo aroma, you may steam the empty steamer over the pot for a while before adding ingredients to help reduce the smell. ※ For longer steaming times, check the water level during cooking to make sure it has not reduced too much. After use, the enamel pot can be cleaned with a soft sponge and food-safe dish soap. Natural steamers are generally recommended to be cleaned with a brush or sponge, then wiped dry and left to air-dry in a well-ventilated place. ※ If grease is present, wash with food-safe dish soap, rinse thoroughly, and allow to air-dry. ※ Avoid storing it in damp places for long periods or keeping it inside plastic bags, as this may cause mold. ※ Do not soak it for long periods, or use a dishwasher or dryer. ※ Excessive drying may cause cracking or damage. ※ If not used for a long time, it is recommended to occasionally moisten it lightly with water.
