Kiriko glass made by independent Kiriko glass artist Saito Hikaru.
We learned the secret techniques of hand polishing at an Edo Kiriko workshop that was founded over 100 years ago, and even though we consider the productivity and profitability of the technique low, we value the tradition and want to deliver authentic Kiriko to our users, so we also value the technique of hand polishing.

Although I decided on a design theme when I created the piece, I believe that the impression it gives will undoubtedly vary widely depending on who sees it.
Rather than me defining it and narrowing your perspective, I would like you to define it based on what you see and feel.
We named it Metamorphosis, a design that changes depending on the viewer.
The corners of the base are roughly cut flat at an angle to form a hexagon.
The aim is to create a product that feels good to the touch.
The corners of the bottom have been rounded off to create a hexagonal edge, which has a pleasant feel to the touch that cannot be replicated with embossed glass, allowing you to feel the comfort of using Kiriko glass in your hands.
The sides are also cut deeply, and the texture is unique to Kiriko, so you will be able to experience for yourself that "good glass really is different!"
There is also intricate detail around the mouth.
By rubbing the area around your mouth in a semicircular motion with an inclination towards your mouth, it will feel much better in your mouth.
I tried rubbing the area around my mouth in about 10 different ways to check how it felt in my mouth, such as rubbing in a square, rubbing without leaving any color, rubbing while leaving 1mm of color, and rubbing in an arc, but in the end I decided on rubbing in a semicircle as this seemed to be the best.
The sides feature traditional chrysanthemum connections, chrysanthemum basket weave, and finely cut hemp leaves.
This is about half the size of the cuts we normally make in our workshop.
I think you can feel that delicacy in the glass.
Among traditional patterns, chrysanthemum connections and chrysanthemum basket weave are ranked first or second in difficulty to cut.
The chrysanthemum is a motif that has auspicious meanings such as longevity, good health, nobility, and integrity.
We hope you will consider purchasing this product for yourself, as a gift, or to improve your store's brand image.
