Since then, Libyan Desert glass has captivated scientists with its enigmatic origin. Physically, chemically, and optically, Libyan Golden Tektite is identical to Moldavite and other tektites, differing only in its white to yellowish hue, hence its name. "Libyan Golden Tektite" formed approximately 29 million years ago. Its formation remains a mystery to scientists and geologists, believed to be the result of a comet or celestial body impacting Earth's surface, melting and fusing with terrestrial sand and dust at high temperatures. Historical records suggest that the famous Egyptian pharaoh Tutankhamen also wore a necklace pendant made of golden tektite, accompanying his soul into eternity. Archaeologists studying his tomb discovered that the king's funerary jewel was a scarab pendant carved from a golden mineral, but no matching mineral could be found. In 1998, an Italian mineralogist finally proved the scarab pendant was made of Libyan tektite. It is said that due to its powerful protective energy against external threats, Tutankhamen's tomb is the only pharaoh's tomb to have remained intact for 3300 years! It is a powerful guardian gemstone. This fiery ball of heat melted quartz grains in the desert. Its structure contains bubbles; an abundance of tiny bubbles can result in an opaque, milky white color. Additionally, Libyan tektite sometimes exhibits gray to black streaks, which upon close inspection resemble dust inclusions. Its composition can range from tridymite and cristobalite to iridium elements brought by meteorites. Natural gemstones are products of nature, and phenomena such as internal fractures, inclusions, bubbles, and minor surface imperfections are unavoidable. Due to their formation underground or within caves, they are often subjected to pressure from other minerals during geological shifts, resulting in different "crystal faces." When minerals are in a liquid state, they can also crystallize and grow by mixing with other minerals and sediments.
