[ One-of-a-kind, Ethical Product ]
A hand-woven shoulder bag created by the Karen people living in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
Cotton threads are naturally dyed, then meticulously woven and hand-sewn over a long period.
This design features traditional patterns woven into the fabric, making it an even more intricate piece.
As the colors and patterns are left to the weaver's artistic sense, each bag is a precious, one-of-a-kind item that can only be encountered at this moment.
The purple-brown hue is achieved by dyeing with lac (cochineal) nests and ebony collected from the surrounding region.
The charm lies in the warm tones of natural dyeing and the rich texture unique to hand-woven fabric.
Pair it with casual outfits, dresses, or natural-style ensembles to make it a focal point of your look.
.
With a simple design lacking pockets or zippers, it conveniently offers ample storage space, more than it appears.
It's easy to carry lightly and comfortably, with enough capacity for daily use.
.
The woven fabric softens with use, and the wide shoulder strap ensures comfort, preventing fatigue.
When not in use, it can be compactly folded for storage.
As it's made from natural materials, it's also perfect for outdoor excursions like camping, beach trips, or outdoor events.
This hand-woven bag, filled with the allure of craftsmanship, makes for a wonderful gift.
Incidentally, the Karen people use these bags to carry items like machetes and rice wrapped in banana leaves when heading out for farm work or to tend to their water buffaloes, or to carry chewing tobacco and wallets for outings.
We hope you'll imagine their mountain life as you enjoy using this bag freely.

Cotton (naturally dyed, hand-woven, hand-sewn)
*Red color uses chemical dyes and synthetic fibers.
*Cotton threads are starched with rice paste. The starch typically washes out after about two washes, softening the fabric.
*Due to natural dyeing and hand-weaving, colors and textures may change depending on usage conditions. Darker colors, in particular, may experience some fading in the first few washes. We hope you will enjoy the aging process as if you were nurturing the fabric.
*For washing, we recommend gentle hand washing with a neutral detergent, separately, and then air drying in the shade. If using a washing machine, wash separately on a gentle cycle (hand wash mode) in a laundry net. However, machine washing may accelerate fabric damage and color fading.
*Please check the care instructions below before purchasing.

[Care Instructions for Naturally Dyed and Hand-Woven Products]
Naturally dyed products are less resistant to washing and sunlight compared to chemical dyes, and their colors will change with use. Please take the following precautions when caring for and using them.
Friction or moisture may cause color transfer or fading. When wearing or using light-colored clothing or bags, be mindful of color transfer. Using dark-colored clothing or bags together may make color transfer less noticeable. Darker colors, in particular, are prone to fading, so we recommend washing them once before wearing.
When washing, we recommend hand washing separately from other clothes. If using a washing machine, use a neutral detergent, place the item in a net, and wash on a gentle cycle separately from other clothes. However, machine washing may accelerate fabric damage and color fading. Avoid using a dryer and hang to dry in the shade.
Regarding Starch:
For fabric products, threads may be starched with rice paste, but the starch will typically wash out after about two washes.
If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact us!
