Temperature and humidity can accelerate the decomposition or oxidation of organic gemstones. Due to their hardness and formation, please also avoid hot springs and hot water baths, as well as products containing cleaning agents. Opal is a delicate gemstone that requires a small amount of moisture for preservation. Therefore, desiccants are not included in the storage pouch. Like other gemstones, it should not be worn during baths or while visiting hot springs. Do not use silver polishing cloths to clean opals; instead, use a clean, dry, or slightly damp cloth. We will provide a jewelry polishing cloth. After wearing, gently wipe the ring clean and store it in the gemstone pouch. For all natural gemstone and metal jewelry, wearing them to hot springs or bathing is not recommended. Chemicals can cause adverse reactions with the jewelry. Avoid direct contact with perfumes and bleach. Do not store jewelry in bathrooms or kitchens, as this can accelerate oxidation. When not wearing sterling silver or gold jewelry, try to isolate it from moisture and air. Wipe clean with a dry cloth or the provided polishing cloth, then store in a PVC zipper bag. Each piece of jewelry should be stored separately to prevent scratches from contact with other jewelry or hard objects. **About Opals** Color is a fundamental attribute of most gemstones. Opal, derived from the Latin word "opalus," meaning "to gather the beauty of gemstones," is world-renowned for its magical and beautiful play-of-color effect. Opal is composed of silica spheres, which are not visible to the naked eye and can only be seen under an electron microscope. These color variations are caused by diffraction and interference—a complex interplay of light and the spacing of these spherical structures. **Natural Stone Inclusions** The natural stones used in the NOW Design Studio are collected from around the world, and each piece is one-of-a-kind, typically resulting in a single product. These stones are specially selected. We showcase their colors under different angles or lighting conditions for our clients. Natural stones inevitably have internal impurities (inclusions); this is unavoidable. If this is a concern, we advise against purchasing.
