Handwoven Linen Stole [Saisuu*02]
Materials: 97% Linen, 3% Silk
Dimensions: Approx. 57cm x 200cm (excluding 6cm fringe)
This generously sized stole is handwoven using the finest 120-count linen yarn, sourced from a Kyoto-based yarn dealer. The yarn is dyed in a variety of colors from a bleached state before being meticulously woven by hand. It possesses a translucent thinness, free from stiffness or bulk, allowing it to drape with exceptional lightness and softness, conforming gently to the body.
The design features a random check pattern woven with five shades of linen yarn, subtly enhanced by interspersed silk threads that add a delicate touch.
The ultra-fine ramie linen yarn, half the thickness of standard linen yarn used in handweaving, is characterized by its minimal fiber fuzz and beautiful sheen. With a fine warp density of 840 threads, it achieves an exquisitely supple texture. Linen stoles offer superior moisture absorption, breathability, and quick-drying properties compared to cotton, ensuring a dry, refreshing feel against the skin. This makes them ideal for year-round comfort across three seasons, from spring through autumn.
*Creases may form during shipping. These can be gently removed with a steam iron.
