After being molded into a perfectly round yunomi shape, it's fired with a delicate off-white matte glaze and a deep, forest-inspired green glaze. All processes, from kneading the clay and shaping to bisquing, glazing, and final firing, are meticulously done by hand in my home studio, equipped with a small electric kiln and a potter's wheel. To ensure your table is protected from scratches, the base of the cup is carefully polished. To address this, all our pottery undergoes a waterproofing treatment with a food-safe sealant before shipping, eliminating the need for an initial soaking (mezome). This treatment requires 2-3 days, hence our shipping timeframe of 5 days from order placement.
